Mexico, Apr 18 (Prensa Latina) Mexican deputies and senators rejected the recent declarations by Colombian President Alvaro Uribe against nationals killed during an attack in Ecuadorian territory, and asked the government to issue an official protest.

Interviewed by the local TV, Uribe said the young Mexicans killed were terrorists, drug dealers, and kidnappers, and refused to apologize for the Ecuadorian attack.

The plenary session of the House of Deputies urged the local chancellery to issue a protest note to Bogota, and called for the Organization of American States (OAS) to pronounce on the human rights violations of the Mexican victims.

Deputy Alfredo Rios, promoter of the proposal, called rude intolerance Uribe's attempt to justify the assassination of the young Mexicans.

He also wondered what would have happened if the victims were from the US, and urged Mexican President Felipe Calderon to publicly claim for Uribe's insults against them.
